First of all, YES... I’ve totally been there. It’s so normal to hit a block and abandon projects, even ones you were super excited about at first. Here’s what I do when that happens: 🗂 Put them away (for now). I'll usually just set something aside and see if I naturally want to come back to it later. It's kinda like when I go shopping and convince myself not to buy something. If my brain is still thinking about it a few days later, then I go back and get it. Same thing with my art! And if my brain forgets about it, then I just let it go! 📸 Take a photo of it, and look at it as if you're someone else. Snapping a pic and pretending I'm looking at it as a neutral friend can sometimes help me see what I like (or don’t) more clearly. (Or if that fails, ASK an actual friend!) ♻️ Cut it up to reuse. If I decide this project isn't going to come back from the depths of my hatred, I’ll cut it up into pieces and use it for something else later. Keep a scraps box! And sometimes, honestly... I just throw them out. 🙃 It’s not a failure—it’s part of the creative process.
