What I've Been Up To This Week...
This is kinda an embarrassing one to show, to be honest, because omg-I-have-no-idea-what-I'm-doing! 😂
Long story short, this merino wool sleep sack was so generously gifted to us before we had Kenna (actually, by a previous Workshop Week instructor, Tamer!)
And it has literally been on the body of one of my children every single night for the last 3 years – first, Kenna wore it, then when she grew out of it, it started to fit Brooke. And she's been wearing it ever since.
But... it's starting to show it's age. It's got multiple holes and stains and pulls from being so well loved.
So this week when I saw this video come across my feed about visible mending, I was like... yup. That's the solution. Lemme try that.
And although I totally coulda done something cuter with appliqué and made a cute little animal or fruit or something, I really wanted to try this technique.
I think over time, as I patch more holes on this sleep sack and add more colours, it'll turn out adorably! (I just gotta work on keeping my lines straight, lol!)
