Happy September Reader!
It's been a heck of a week over hereβ my oldest started kindergarten (π₯Ή) and my littlest is home for the next 2 weeks with me, so trying to fit in crafts (and work...) has been hectic!
But I got a new palette set up (see below!) and I squeezed in a bit of time for some creativity!
I can't believe it's the end of summer... what the heck happened?!?

Confession: I'm a lazy artist...
I'm way more likely to paint if I have a palette that's already mixed and ready to go.
The problem is, those convenient little sets have never really inspired me.
With Mrs. Liene's gorgeous handmade ceramic palette, I set it up with the tubes I already own.
It's a work in progress, but I'm already feeling more excited to paint than I have in ages!
As promised, here's the finished product of the pottery I painted! It turned out exactly how I envisioned, and look how cute it is with flowers!!

Oh and I also made an impromptu backdrop for my girly's first day of school! I painted a drop cloth (the night before school started, of course π) and hung it up. My thinking is that I'll use it every year on the first day! I meant to mark her height on it too but... things were so chaotic π
